Adult Education

The philosophy of Adult Religious Education at First Congregational UNITED CHURCH of Christ is to provide the tools for people to use in searching out their own faith.

Defining, redefining and exploring one's faith is primary at First Congregational UCC. Not everyone is expected to arrive at the same place.

The purpose of the Adult Education program is to provide information people can use in this search.

Sunday Morning Adult Forum

Join us Sunday mornings September through May between services, at 9:30 a.m., for a variety of offerings including information from various religions, the Bible and philosophy. We explore questions concerning the meaning of life, death, the Christian experience, the relation of the Christian experience to other faiths, and the historical context of Christian faith. Noted experts are brought to the forum via videotape and printed handouts. Discussion centers around the questions and contributions of forum participants.

Special Events

Over the past years we have produced several stage presentations and a video drama. The intent of these productions is to provide an intergenerational platform for developing relationships, and to dramatize a major point of theology or ethics.
